Reasons to choose Pine Valley's UV Connectors    [Connectors]

Pine Valley Precision has been making ferrules for field installable UV curable connectors since 1986 - Now we are doing the entire job!

Why our UV connectors are unmatched!

  • Ferrule designed for repairability and reliability!
  • Fiber undercut totally eliminated!
  • Avoid the dirt holes!
  • Consistent fiber geometry!

Features and Benefits

  • Glass and Ceramic ferrule designed so a Spherical Radius is created when polished, improving return loss and reducing insertion loss.  (Consistent End Face Micro-Geometry)
  • You won't over polish and you will avoid the dirt trap.
  • You can polish to a PV finish in less than 1 minute.
  • Thermally friendly Borosilicate glass in Zirconia ferrule to reduce failure due to thermal stressing. (No other ferrule materials can make that claim.)
  • Repairable and reworkable for the virtual elimination of scrap.
  • Long shelf life of Norland 81 Optical Adhesive.
  • Small light weight curing light and fixture. (No power cord) (No oven) (No heat)
  • UV curing in 45 seconds, to ensure a perfect bond of adhesive to fiber and connector every time.
  • Extra long ferrule holder to ensure more adhesive bonds to the buffer.
  • Large crimp area to capture more Kevlar to reduce pulling tension.
  • Precision machined closed end bayonet from solid metal with nickel plating. (Not die cast powdered metal or plastic.)
  • Not a bag of parts, ST* connectors come assembled.
